The SmartPower controller uses both electricity and weather forecast data to optimise energy efficiency and energy spend.
For example the outdoor temperature estimate can be used to turn off building heating above a certain set-point. The set-point can be adjusted if the wind strength from a particular direction is above a second
e.g. Air curtains on the West side of a building are inhibited if the outdoor temperature is above 16 °C, but only if the Westerly wind direction is below 25kmh.
Other webservices data such as tide height or position of the sun, can be used in pumping stations or for dusk/dawn lighting projects.
